The Neighborhood Foods CSA will be back in 2013. We have decided to pursue a cooperative structure for Neighborhood Foods and are actively working towards achieving that goal. This cooperative will join together farmers, customers, and community members as owners and leaders of the local food movement. This means opportunities for customers to have a voice in how their CSA is run. It also means opportunities for community members and farmers to own the assets in their neighborhoods and build shared wealth to support themselves and future generations.
This year we are partnering directly with farmers Ruben Riehl and Ira Stoltzfus to source the highest quality and freshest produce possible in addition to what we produce at the farm. We are also offering a fruit share and increasing the average size of our produce share.
We will be launching an official Neighborhood Foods website in the beginning of February which will also mark the beginning of our CSA sign-ups. We can’t wait until the season begins and hope to see you then!
